In v5.1.0, with AI Summaries and TL;DRs, we gave your readers a faster way to get the gist of what you import. Today we’re going a step further. Aggregator v5.2.0 introduces AI Rewriting, now available in beta on the Elite plan, the newest addition to the AI Content Suite.
For years, running an aggregator meant having a trade-off. You got volume of content without the effort, but it was always someone else’s words on your site, or a snippet that did little more than point readers to a better page elsewhere. Rewriting now takes the same feeds you already follow and produces posts written in a voice you choose, with their own unique headlines, ready to publish under your name.
From curated snippets to content that’s yours
When you publish a snippet and link out, you hand your reader off the moment they get interested. You’ve done the work to earn their trust, and then you send that attention, and the traffic, somewhere else.
Rewriting keeps the reader with you. You publish full posts in your own voice, with unique headlines and original content, all built from the sources you were already curating. Search engines get something real to index from your site, and AI tools have a reason to cite you rather than the source you imported from. The curation work stays exactly the same, all that changes is what comes out the other end.
What AI Rewriting does
- Writes in a voice you choose: Pick from a set of voices, from neutral and journalistic through to conversational or SEO-optimised, or even keep the source’s own voice. Control how heavy the rewrite should be to decide how far it moves from the original.
- Shows you the result before you commit: Run a Test Rewrite on a real feed item and see the original and rewritten versions side by side. This is where you dial in the voice until it reads like you, before a single live import runs.
- Works in the source’s language: An English article produces an English rewrite. A Spanish article produces a Spanish rewrite. It retains source’s language, avoiding translation.
- Runs on credits already included with your plan: Everything runs inside Aggregator on the AI credits bundled with the Elite Plan, with no separate AI account or third-party subscription required. You can see how credits work and what each plan includes here.

Reviewing before you publish
Rewriting generates brand new content, and since it’s using AI, it can get things wrong now and then. It can miss a nuance, carry an error over from the source, or make the occasional confident mistake, and none of it should reach your live site unread.
The simplest way to stay in the loop is to import the rewritten posts as drafts while you get a feel for how a given source reads after a rewrite. You look through what was produced, adjust the voice or the uniqueness if something’s off, and publish once it reads like you. When you trust how a source behaves, you can let it publish on its own while you focus on being the editor.
A note on the beta
AI Rewriting is launching in beta in v5.2.0. It’s solid enough to put in front of readers, which is why we’re shipping it, but it’s new, and the voice settings will keep improving as we learn from how people use them. During the beta, content rewriting is capped at a maximum of 2,500 words per item, so any items with content longer than that will be skipped.
What comes after Rewriting
Summarization and rewriting are the foundation for what comes next. We’re already building the step beyond a single item and a single source, looking at a future where synthesis will open up new channels for you to connect with your audience. More on that as it takes shape.
To get started, open a source, turn on Rewriting under the AI tab in its Advanced settings, and run a Test Rewrite to see how your next import reads in your own voice. For the full setup walkthrough, see the AI Rewriting documentation.
