Explore Aggregator’s General Settings to tailor how imported content is managed and displayed on your site. This guide covers Hub and Feed to Post settings, helping you streamline your content hub and control post-import behavior to suit your site’s needs.
Contents

Aggregator’s General Settings are where you can set up a few options for the long-term use of the plugin.

To access the settings section, navigate to Aggregator > Settings in your WordPress Dashboard. By default, you’ll land on the General section.

Hub Settings

The Hub Settings allow you to customize the appearance of the content hub by hiding sections that are not currently in use. These options help streamline your view by removing empty sections from the interface, making it easier to focus on active content.

  • Hide Pending Approval section when empty: When enabled, the “Pending Approval” section will be hidden from the Hub if there are no items awaiting review. This helps keep the interface clean by only showing relevant content.
  • Hide Recently Imported section when empty: When enabled, the “Recently Imported” section will be hidden from the Hub if there are no imported items.

Feed to Post

If you have a valid premium license for the Plus, Pro, or Elite Aggregator plans, you’ll also see a Feed to Post Settings section. This includes the following options:

  • Include imported posts in the default WordPress Posts list: Enable this setting to include all imported Posts in the default WordPress Posts list in your WordPress Dashboard.
  • Add approved posts to the default WordPress Blog page: Enable this setting to include all approved Posts on your default WordPress blog page on the front-end.
  • Do not delete edited posts: Enable this setting to preserve any imported posts you’ve manually edited. This ensures your changes aren’t lost.
  • Add custom content to the site’s RSS feeds: This setting allows you to include the “Custom Text” from a source’s settings in your site’s RSS feeds.
