Failed to upload the plugin: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

Contents

If you are trying to upload the Core plugin manually or even one of our premium add-ons and you encounter the following error:

PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

This usually means one of two things:

  • The zip file you’re uploading is either incomplete or corrupted

or

  • WordPress does not have enough storage space on your host server to unzip and upload the contents of the zip file

It’s possible that there’s an issue with the plugin zip file and has become corrupted during the download process. You can try downloading the zip file again, either from your purchase receipt email or from your WPRA Account.

If after trying to re-upload you still receive the same error then this means your available storage space on your host server is not adequate enough.

You can verify this by trying to upload other files on your WordPress

site
, such as an image, video or another zipped plugin installer. If you are unable to upload any additional files, consider deleting older files on your site you no longer need or contact your host to increase your storage capacity.

If you’re still experiencing the same error message after trying the above, please contact Support for assistance.
