Images Not Importing – Meeting the Server Requirements

There are times when you might have trouble importing images for some reason or another. A final step in troubleshooting the images is to check if your host meets the server requirements.


Check PHP.ini config – allow_url_fopen & PHP GD

  • Install and activate the WordPress phpinfo plugin.
  • After activating the plugin head to Settings > WordPressphpinfo().§
  • Search for allow_url_fopen and GD, to check whether both are enabled in your php.ini file as shown below:

If not, then get in touch with your web host so that they can enable these extensions in the php.ini file.
