Utilize the Import/Export Settings feature in Aggregator to efficiently transfer your plugin configurations between sites or create backups.
Contents

The Import/Export Settings feature in Aggregator allows you to seamlessly transfer your plugin settings between different sites or create backups of your current setup. This feature is located in Aggregator > Settings > Advanced in your WordPress dashboard, as shown below.

Aggregator's settings for importing and exporting the plugin's general settings.

Export Settings

Exporting your Aggregator settings is a simple one-click action:

  1. Navigate to Aggregator > Settings > Advanced.
  2. Scroll to the Import/Export Settings section.
  3. Click the Export Settings button.

This will generate and download a JSON file containing all your current plugin settings. You can store this file for backup purposes or use it to replicate the setup on another site.

Import Settings

Similarly, importing settings is just as straightforward:

  1. Navigate to Aggregator > Settings > Advanced.
  2. In the Import/Export Settings section, click Choose File to upload a previously exported JSON file.
  3. After selecting the file, click the Import Settings button.

This will apply the settings from the uploaded file to your Aggregator plugin, replicating the configuration from the original site or file.

Additional Information

Please take note of the following:

  • The Import/Export feature does not include feed sources, imported items, or any custom post types. It’s only the plugin settings that are transferred.
  • Always ensure you have a backup before importing settings, as any existing configurations will be overwritten.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage your Aggregator configurations across multiple websites or keep a backup of your settings for future use.
