Learn how to troubleshoot why images are not importing by checking the minimum image dimensions.
Contents

Aggregator offers a number of different settings for importing images with the item content. At times, a source might fail to import some or all of its items featured images due to their size.

Every source has “Minimum width” and “Minimum height” settings which determine the minimum size of an image that is allowed to be imported. Any image smaller than these minimums will be ignored by Aggregator, and therefore will not be imported along with the item’s content.

You can check the settings applied to any source from the Advanced > Images section.

To check the size of an image as provided by the source, follow these steps:

  • Open the RSS feed’s URL in your browser.
  • Search for keywords (Ctrl+F or CMD+F) such as “img”, “jpg”, or “png”.
  • Locate the URL of an image and copy that link into a new browser tab or window.
  • Open the image and check whether its dimensions are greater than or equal to the minimum dimensions you have set for your source.
