Contents

Our onboarding wizard makes getting started with Aggregator simple. Depending on whether you’re using the Free or Premium version, you’ll find unique features and settings.

Choose your version below to continue to the comprehensive guide created for your setup:

Free Version

After you install and activate the free core plugin, navigate to Aggregator.

In the first step, we ask for a license key. However, if you’re a free user, you can simply click “Skip” to move on to the next step.

Click on the “Get Started” button to begin the onboarding process.

Enter a website’s URL or an RSS feed URL. If you don’t have an RSS feed, you can test the process by clicking one of the provided test sources. Once you’re ready, click on the “Next” button.

In this step, you can choose how to display your content. Please note that the Grid and Excerpt & Thumbnails layouts are exclusively available with a premium license. If you are using the free version, you can only select the List layout. Click on List, then press the “Next” button to continue.

Decide how you want to display your feed on your website. You can either create a new page with your chosen display or add the display to an existing page. After making your choice, click on the “Next” button.

That’s it! Click on the “Start Import” button to begin importing the content.

Wait for the import process to complete. It might take around 30 seconds if your source contains a lot of items, so be patient with it the first time round. Once it’s completed, you can view your page or go to your new Hub.

Premium Version

After installing and activating both the free core plugin and the premium plugin, navigate to Aggregator.

Enter your license key, then click the “Activate” button.

Once activated, click the “Next” button.

Click on the “Get Started” button to begin the onboarding process.

Enter a website’s URL or an RSS feed URL. If you don’t have an RSS feed, you can test the process by clicking one of the provided test sources. Once you’re ready, click on the “Next” button.

At this step, you have two options:

  • Import as Drafts: Import your content as WordPress posts and save them as drafts, allowing you to publish them later.
  • Automatically Publish: Import your content as WordPress posts and automatically publish them to your blog.

After making your choice, click on the “Next” button.

Decide whether to include an attribution link in each post, giving credit to the original content creator for their work. After making your selection, click the “Next” button to continue.

At this step, you can choose to either automatically publish the content (aggregate) or manually approve items from your Hub before publishing them (curate). After making your selection, click the “Next” button.

That’s it! Click on the “Start Import” button to begin importing the content.

Wait for the import process to finish. It may take about 30 seconds if your source contains many items, so please be patient during the initial import.

Once completed, you can view the imported content in your Hub and start embedding it on your site.
