Automate Your WordPress Blogging Journey with Top Plugins

Are you looking to take your WordPress site to the next level with the help of an autoblogging plugin? You’ve come to the right place.

Autoblog plugins are an ideal tool for any blogger who wants to publish content automatically without having to manually add new posts to their WordPress site. In addition to working wonders for time efficiency and organizational skills, their functional versatility makes them ideal for personal bloggers and WooCommerce businesses alike.

In this guide, our experts will help you compare the best autoblog plugins on the market to find the most suitable solution to transform your RSS feeds forever.

What is Autoblogging?

Autoblogging is a practice that focuses on the concept of displaying content produced by other publishers on your WordPress website. In many ways, it is similar to content curation. However, it relies heavily on AI tools to find content on your behalf, thus automating most of the process and making it far less time-consuming.

Choosing the right autoblog plugins for your WordPress site can be a very powerful tool that supports your own blogs. Experts at Search Engine Journal explain that “A well-executed content curation strategy adds value for readers, resulting in social shares, links, and ultimately better rankings”. In a world where consumers expect websites to be regularly updated, autoblogging is an ideal solution that provides visitors with fresh information and increased value on a daily basis.

Autoblogging can be used for content curation and to automatically publish relevant new posts acquired from other websites while the best autoblog plugins enable you to adjust the settings so that content is based on specific categories, topics, or keywords. Once you know how to create an autoblogging site and have found the right autoblogging plugin, autoblogging can subsequently enable you to:

  • Provide value to the consumer through third-party content
  • Use automated content to build on the topics you’ve already covered
  • Keep your brand a part of the conversation with new content
  • Boost your SEO strategy
  • Ensure that your WordPress site is updated with content even when you’re away
  • Allow you to unlock the benefits of blogging without the distractions
  • Overcome the threat of writer’s block

When you use autoblogging for new content creation, however, it’s vital that you avoid plagiarism. You can include links to the original publisher, limit the content to an excerpt, and avoid using protected images. Given that companies with a strong blogging strategy can expect 67% more monthly leads than those who don’t, autoblogging can play a key feature in unlocking your full potential. The best WordPress autoblogging plugins will make this process very easy.

Another popular function of autoblog plugins is to create an autoblogging newsletter through RSS to email. To do this, you will set up an email autoresponder that sends emails to your subscribers when new content is published.

The right autoblogging plugin will allow you to add a form to the blog post pages on your WordPress site, which encourages visitors to submit their email addresses so that they never miss out on your quality content again. It is that simple.

Creating new WordPress posts constantly can be overwhelming, but autoblog plugins make it simple and approachable.

How do you choose a WP autoblog plugin?

WordPress is the most popular CMS on the market, as it powers a total of over 810 million websites. Unsurprisingly, there are dozens of autoblogging plugins and add-ons available for download. However, not all of them are worth using. Given the importance that the plugin may have on your future autoblogging efforts, it’s imperative that you know what to look for.

Not all WordPress website owners have the same requirements, and you will naturally want to find an RSS feeds autoblog plugin that aligns with your needs, whether this means using RSS plugins to create a news aggregator site or for newsletter purposes. Regardless of the intended function, the key features to consider are:

  • Ease of Use: The UX should be one of the top items on your checklist. Otherwise, you’ll soon grow frustrated and revert to blogging exclusively through manual posts. Drag-and-drop capabilities can make a solution very easy to use, even for WordPress novices. However, you should also seek advanced features that enable you to unlock the full power of autoblogging without relying on additional services.
  • Functionality: An autoblog plugin must also be capable of doing everything you need it to. If you need it for autoblogging a curated newsletter or publishing custom post types, you must know that it does this. Likewise, it must avoid plagiarized content, which can be achieved via the methods above or by using a text rewriter like WordAi to create unique posts for your blog.
  • Pricing: Every business decision for your WordPress site is a financial one. Seeking value for money is essential, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you should choose a free plugin as it could be missing key features, although free versions of paid plugins are a good way to test the water. Similarly, a cheap but ineffective or inadequate solution should be avoided. Still, you shouldn’t overpay when a better option exists.
  • Support: Regardless of which autoblogging plugin you choose, it’s likely that you will have some questions about how to complete certain tasks. Tutorials and other self-help tools are hugely beneficial. Above all else, though, you need to know that the developers will respond quickly to your issues. The last thing you want is to be stuck waiting for a reply for days. After all, time is money.

If the content curation autblogging plugin provides ease of use, functionality, value, and customer care while integrating seamlessly with your WordPress themes, it’s a great choice for your WordPress site.

10 Best WordPress Autoblogging Plugins

With so many autoblogging plugin options and add-ons available, navigating the marketplace may feel difficult. However, our experts have worked hard for you by creating the following shortlist of 10 top WordPress autoblog plugins for 2023 and beyond. We have tested them all in relation to the aforementioned criteria to help you make a calculated decision. Here’s all you need to know:

1. WP RSS Aggregator

WPRSS Aggregator for autoblogging

WP RSS Aggregator has over 2 million downloads from WordPress website owners and is undoubtedly one of the most powerful and comprehensive autoblog tools on the market.

It allows you to aggregate content from other sites, including videos and featured images. It also supports advanced features like custom map content and categorization by source or keyword filtering. You can also import job listings to truly put autoblogging on autopilot.

Content may be added to your site via block element or shortcode editing while no coding experience is necessary. With a 30-day money-back guarantee, along with premium support, it is truly the best WordPress plugin in its class.

Price: Starts at $79 per year for the premium package

2. WP Robot

WP Robot for autoblogging

One of the great things about WP Robot is that it curates content from Amazon, YouTube, and other authority sites. It is particularly useful for sourcing videos and products related to your content, which can be useful for explainer guides and affiliate marketing purposes.

While it does include a text spinner AI, the autblogging plugin isn’t fully automated and will require you to use the block system editor before publishing quality content. On a brighter note, its multilingual support team does respond in English, German, and Chinese.

A 14-day money-back guarantee is offered.

Price: $89 per year (basic); $119 (full); $149 (pro); 249 (developer)

3. WPeMatico

WPeMatico autoblogging plugin

The WPeMatico plugin is built to help website owners pull content from RSS feeds, either through manual or autodiscovery efforts, so that they can be used for organized marketing campaigns.

It lacks some of the functions of paid plugins but does facilitate custom posts, the assignment of tags, and content from RSS, XML, or Atom channels.

Unsurprisingly, the customer support isn’t great for the free WordPress autoblogging plugin. It is best used by experienced WordPress users.

Price: Starts at $281.00 for a single license

4. WordPress RSS Feed Retriever

RSS Retriever

Another popular autoblog plugin is WordPress RSS Feed Retriever. Like WP RSS Aggregator, it imports RSS feeds from various sources, even including Flickr, and promotes good customization by changing thumbnail sizes and excerpt lengths.

However, its incompatibility with blocks is a drawback for many, as the WordPress autoblogging plugin requires you to import RSS feeds with shortcodes. It is, therefore, a less user-friendly option.

While developers of Theme Mason do regularly update the plugin, their customer support isn’t as responsive as some users would like.

Price: $29 per year (one user) or $49 (five sites).

5. WP Content Pilot

WP content pilot plugin

WP Content Pilot is a reliable content-spinning tool that auto-published posts after gaining data from multiple sources. Its greatest feature, in the Pro version, is that it can import eBay deals that feature your affiliate link. This allows you to monetize your site with ease.

The plugin also enables you to tailor your autoblogging by pulling content based on categories while adding tags and translations. A lack of drag and drop or template management is noticeable, however.

Price: $79 per year (one user). $499 (unlimited sites).

6. WP-Automatic

WP Automatic

The WP-Automatic plugin is an effective live text spinner and AI generator. However, it does not enable full-text imports, as is the case with competitors like WP RSS Aggregator. it can collate and import content from many websites, though, as well as a host of social media sites.

Its support team does include live chat facilities and a Whatsapp team. However, the lack of a free version makes it a financial risk for people that do not have previous experience with this exact autoblogging plugin.

Price: $49 per year (one user), $59 (three sites), $199 (10 sites)

7. CyberSEO

Cyber SEO

CyberSEO is a widely used tool by news sites as it can use full-text post embedding and create unique content with its third-party AI spinners. When using the Pro version, a number of templates can be used, too — even if the customization options aren’t as powerful as some competitors.

It is currently used by over 100,000 website owners and is supported by a responsive care team. As well as content filtering, it can produce AI images and text translation. Naturally, it has a strong focus on SEO elements.

Price: $39.95 for life (one user); $119.95 (five sites); $159.95 (10 sites); $299.95 (100 sites)

8. Feedzy RSS Feeds

Feedzy RSS

Feedzy RSS Feeds is another powerful tool with many features like unlimited RSS feeds, multiple templates, affiliate integrations, and keyword filtering. However, its UX isn’t as strong as its features, which many see as a disadvantage. Even if it does enable content paraphrasing and reliable AI text spinning.

Although there is a forum, the company’s support team is often a little slow with its responses.

Price: €129 per year (personal); €255 (business); €529 (agency).

9. WP Content Crawler

Content Crawler autoblog plugin

Although it is best for advanced users due to its CSS selectors and HTML editing needs, the WP Content Crawler is another good choice for an autoblogging plugin. It enables you to grab content from other websites and turn them into your own content, while the configuration settings enable you to create a setup that works for you.

The AI tool allows you to find unique elements, similar elements, or elements containing specific excerpts. One notable downside, though, is that you have to pay for the customer support elements beyond the first six months.

Price: $25 regular license; $125 extended license. Support carries a surcharge.

10. Autoblog WPMagic

Autoblog WP magic

The Autoblog WPMagic isn’t as sophisticated as the other tools on this list. But when you simply want an autoblogging plugin that allows you to schedule the publishing times of existing blogs, it is a good option. It will search a folder for relevant files and publish them as a blog post. It also boasts taking up minimal memory.

While it is free, the plugin is rarely updated and some reviews critique the lack of customer support.

How to Set Up a WordPress Autoblogging Site in 8 Simple Steps

To start your WP autoblogging site, you’ll need to install and activate your chosen plugin. For the purpose of this tutorial, we’ll be focusing on WP RSS Aggregator.

Once you’ve purchased your chosen plan, it’s time to start adding your feed sources.

Step 1: Add Your Sources

Head on over to RSS Aggregator > Feed Sources in the WordPress sidebar and select the Add New button.

Add a new source

Next, name your source, and enter the URL of the website you wish to bring in content from. In most cases, WP RSS Aggregator can automatically detect the RSS feed of that URL (as can be seen in the Mashable example below).

However, you can also paste in the RSS Feed URL in those instances where the plugin is unable to retrieve it automatically.

Once you’ve got everything set up, a feed preview will show up on the right-hand side.

Step 2: Keyword Filtering

Next, you can filter your imported content to include specific keywords in its title and/or content. In this example, I’ve decided to import content that has the word “Instagram” in its title.

WP RSS Aggregator also lets you import content based on specific tags.

Keyword filtering

Step 3: Specify General Settings

Under the general settings, you’ll be able to specify how your imported posts will be treated. If you prefer to curate your posts before they are published, go with the default Draft status.

Here you can also decide whether or not to allow comments and import the excerpt.

Step 4: Image Specifications

Images are a big part of any post, so it’s important to give special attention to this section. Here you’ll decide whether or not to import the images to your website, what sizes to import, and which featured image you’ll be using.

My current Elementor template adds the featured image to the top of every article, so to avoid having my featured image showing twice, I’ve decided to tick the option to Remove the featured image from post content.

Step 5: Set Up Categories and Tags

To keep things organized on our autoblogging website, it’s best to set up our post categories and tags. In this example, I’ve added an Instagram News category by going to Posts > Categories in the WordPress dashboard.

I’ve also set up a tag for every source that I will be importing.

WordPress tags

Back in WP RSS Aggregator, under Taxonomies, you can set your posts to be put into a certain category with a specific tag as shown below:

Categories and tags

Step 6: Set an Author

In the author section, you’ll be able to set who the author of the imported content will be. You can choose to create users for all the imported authors or use a fallback user. You can also decide not to import content that does not have an author attributed to it.

Step 7: Prepend / Append to Content

In this example, I’ve decided to add a little note before my post content starts. In it, I’ve let the reader know that the content they are about to read is imported from another blog.

To set this up, go to the Prepend to Content section and type in your message. You can set it to bold to distinguish it from the rest of the content.

Prepend to content

You can then add a link to the original article, as I’ve done in the example below. Switch to Text mode to add the {{original_post_url}} placeholder as your link:

Prepend to content

Note: You can set up global settings for all your imported content by heading to RSS Aggregator > Settings. These include Taxonomies, Authors, Image settings, and more! Plus, you can also set up global filters by going to RSS Aggregator > Filtering.

Step 8: Start Managing Your Content

Repeat this process for all your sources, and once you’re done, you’ll be able to view them all on your Feed Sources page. Activate them, and watch WP RSS Aggregator bring in all that juicy content into your autoblogging website.

Once imported, your posts will show up on the regular WordPress posts page, each one categorized and tagged accordingly:

Edit, delete, and publish your content at your own will, and voila! Your autoblogging WordPress website is officially live!
